You don't need an excuse to see me. [It's not like she needs to shine the bat symbol into the sky to get his attention. He had just figured she's got her boys and her family business and the community to look after. He's off doing... Things of questionable legality and not making the best life decisions. He knows she doesn't see him as another burden to bear, but he doesn't like feeling that way when she ends up taking care of him.
But it's mostly just excuses for his self-imposed isolation. Coming around more often might even be good for him. And her needing help just... makes it feel like it's good for them both. The more he comes over the more he'll feel better about it - assuming Sam doesn't kick up a fuss. Anyway, her saying she likes his company goes a long way as it is.]
I could make a regular thing of it. [He can't promise once a fortnight or anything like that. But he'll try. He might even use his phone to call ahead.]
Could give you a regular night off, too, if you want me to take the boys off your plate. [He doesn't just mean coming over for... rolling around in her bed with her, as much as he enjoys it.]
